“Living every moment”
Tommy gave us a lifetime of wonderful experiences and treasured memories in his short 6 ½ years with us. He died as he lived, to the full, having nipped away unseen, to chase something in full flight through Ashridge woods when he was hit by a car whilst crossing the road. I found him just after he died and am certain he still ‘heard’ me tell him “I love you” and to “Go on” as I cuddled him.
We have buried him in the field above our house, where he loved to chase the rabbits. My little golden brindle boy, I will miss you always – the cuddles far more than the agility. I am so proud that you won us out of starters and got to the ABC final in the millennium. I miss the very sense of you – so much heart in such a little body. We will love you always. Thank you so much to all of you who have given us your condolences, it is overwhelming to know how much Tommy was loved by all those who knew him and has really helped us.
